فَأۡتِيَا فِرۡعَوۡنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Fatiya firAAawna faqoola inna rasoolu rabbi alAAalameena
Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds
Verse 16أَنۡ أَرۡسِلۡ مَعَنَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ
An arsil maAAana banee israeela
[Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel
Verse 17قَالَ أَلَمۡ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدٗا وَلَبِثۡتَ فِينَا مِنۡ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ
Qala alam nurabbika feena waleedan walabithta feena min AAumurika sineena
[Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life
Verse 18وَفَعَلۡتَ فَعۡلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِي فَعَلۡتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ
WafaAAalta faAAlataka allatee faAAalta waanta mina alkafireena
And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful
Verse 19قَالَ فَعَلۡتُهَآ إِذٗا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
Qala faAAaltuha ithan waana mina alddalleena
[Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray
Verse 20فَفَرَرۡتُ مِنكُمۡ لَمَّا خِفۡتُكُمۡ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكۡمٗا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Fafarartu minkum lamma khiftukum fawahaba lee rabbee hukman wajaAAalanee mina almursaleena
So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers
Verse 21وَتِلۡكَ نِعۡمَةٞ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنۡ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ
Watilka niAAmatun tamunnuha AAalayya an AAabbadta banee israeela
And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel
Verse 22قَالَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Qala firAAawnu wama rabbu alAAalameena
Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds
Verse 23قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ
Qala rabbu alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma in kuntum mooqineena
[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced
Verse 24قَالَ لِمَنۡ حَوۡلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسۡتَمِعُونَ
Qala liman hawlahu ala tastamiAAoona
[Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear
Verse 25قَالَ رَبُّكُمۡ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Qala rabbukum warabbu abaikumu alawwaleena
[Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers
Verse 26قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِيٓ أُرۡسِلَ إِلَيۡكُمۡ لَمَجۡنُونٞ
Qala inna rasoolakumu allathee orsila ilaykum lamajnoonun
[Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad
Verse 27قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقِ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَآۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ
Qala rabbu almashriqi waalmaghribi wama baynahuma in kuntum taAAqiloona
[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason
Verse 28قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذۡتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيۡرِي لَأَجۡعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمَسۡجُونِينَ
Qala laini ittakhathta ilahan ghayree laajAAalannaka mina almasjooneena
[Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned
Verse 29قَالَ أَوَلَوۡ جِئۡتُكَ بِشَيۡءٖ مُّبِينٖ
Qala awalaw jituka bishayin mubeenin
[Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest
Verse 30قَالَ فَأۡتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Qala fati bihi in kunta mina alssadiqeena
[Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful
Verse 31فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعۡبَانٞ مُّبِينٞ
Faalqa AAasahu faitha hiya thuAAbanun mubeenun
So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest
Verse 32وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيۡضَآءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِينَ
WanazaAAa yadahu faitha hiya baydao lilnnathireena
And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers
Verse 33قَالَ لِلۡمَلَإِ حَوۡلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٞ
Qala lilmalai hawlahu inna hatha lasahirun AAaleemun
[Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician
Verse 34يُرِيدُ أَن يُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُم بِسِحۡرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ
Yureedu an yukhrijakum min ardikum bisihrihi famatha tamuroona
He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise
Verse 35قَالُوٓاْ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبۡعَثۡ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ
Qaloo arjih waakhahu waibAAath fee almadaini hashireena
They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers
Verse 36يَأۡتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٖ
Yatooka bikulli sahharin AAaleemin
Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician
Verse 37فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَٰتِ يَوۡمٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
FajumiAAa alssaharatu limeeqati yawmin maAAloomin
So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day
Verse 38وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلۡ أَنتُم مُّجۡتَمِعُونَ
Waqeela lilnnasi hal antum mujtamiAAoona
And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate
Verse 39لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُواْ هُمُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ
LaAAallana nattabiAAu alssaharata in kanoo humu alghalibeena
That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant
Verse 40فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُواْ لِفِرۡعَوۡنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجۡرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبِينَ
Falamma jaa alssaharatu qaloo lifirAAawna ainna lana laajran in kunna nahnu alghalibeena
And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant
Verse 41قَالَ نَعَمۡ وَإِنَّكُمۡ إِذٗا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُقَرَّبِينَ
Qala naAAam wainnakum ithan lamina almuqarrabeena
He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]
Verse 42قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلۡقُواْ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلۡقُونَ
Qala lahum moosa alqoo ma antum mulqoona
Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw
Verse 43فَأَلۡقَوۡاْ حِبَالَهُمۡ وَعِصِيَّهُمۡ وَقَالُواْ بِعِزَّةِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّا لَنَحۡنُ ٱلۡغَٰلِبُونَ
Faalqaw hibalahum waAAisiyyahum waqaloo biAAizzati firAAawna inna lanahnu alghaliboona
So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant
Verse 44فَأَلۡقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلۡقَفُ مَا يَأۡفِكُونَ
Faalqa moosa AAasahu faitha hiya talqafu ma yafikoona
Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified
Verse 45فَأُلۡقِيَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ
Faolqiya alssaharatu sajideena
So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah]
Verse 46قَالُوٓاْ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Qaloo amanna birabbi alAAalameena
They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds
Verse 47رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ
Rabbi moosa waharoona
The Lord of Moses and Aaron
Verse 48قَالَ ءَامَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ قَبۡلَ أَنۡ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحۡرَ فَلَسَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُونَۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيۡدِيَكُمۡ وَأَرۡجُلَكُم مِّنۡ خِلَٰفٖ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ
Qala amantum lahu qabla an athana lakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu alssihra falasawfa taAAlamoona laoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafin walaosallibannakum ajmaAAeena
[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all
Verse 49قَالُواْ لَا ضَيۡرَۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ
Qaloo la dayra inna ila rabbina munqaliboona
They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return
Verse 50إِنَّا نَطۡمَعُ أَن يَغۡفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Inna natmaAAu an yaghfira lana rabbuna khatayana an kunna awwala almumineena
Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers
Verse 51۞وَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنۡ أَسۡرِ بِعِبَادِيٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ
Waawhayna ila moosa an asri biAAibadee innakum muttabaAAoona
And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued
Verse 52فَأَرۡسَلَ فِرۡعَوۡنُ فِي ٱلۡمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ
Faarsala firAAawnu fee almadaini hashireena
Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers
Verse 53إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرۡذِمَةٞ قَلِيلُونَ
Inna haolai lashirthimatun qaleeloona
[And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band
Verse 54وَإِنَّهُمۡ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ
Wainnahum lana laghaithoona
And indeed, they are enraging us
Verse 55وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ
Wainna lajameeAAun hathiroona
And indeed, we are a cautious society
Verse 56فَأَخۡرَجۡنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ
Faakhrajnahum min jannatin waAAuyoonin
So We removed them from gardens and springs
Verse 57وَكُنُوزٖ وَمَقَامٖ كَرِيمٖ
Wakunoozin wamaqamin kareemin
And treasures and honorable station
Verse 58كَذَٰلِكَۖ وَأَوۡرَثۡنَٰهَا بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ
Kathalika waawrathnaha banee israeela
Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel
Verse 59فَأَتۡبَعُوهُم مُّشۡرِقِينَ
FaatbaAAoohum mushriqeena
So they pursued them at sunrise
Verse 60فَلَمَّا تَرَـٰٓءَا ٱلۡجَمۡعَانِ قَالَ أَصۡحَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدۡرَكُونَ
Falamma taraa aljamAAani qala ashabu moosa inna lamudrakoona
And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken
Verse 61قَالَ كَلَّآۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهۡدِينِ
Qala kalla inna maAAiya rabbee sayahdeeni
[Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me
Verse 62فَأَوۡحَيۡنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقٖ كَٱلطَّوۡدِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ
Faawhayna ila moosa ani idrib biAAasaka albahra fainfalaqa fakana kullu firqin kaalttawdi alAAatheemi
Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain
Verse 63وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا ثَمَّ ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ
Waazlafna thamma alakhareena
And We advanced thereto the pursuers
Verse 64وَأَنجَيۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ
Waanjayna moosa waman maAAahu ajmaAAeena
And We saved Moses and those with him, all together
Verse 65ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ
Thumma aghraqna alakhareena
Then We drowned the others
Verse 66إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Verse 67وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 68وَٱتۡلُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ
Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa ibraheema
And recite to them the news of Abraham
Verse 69إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ
Ith qala liabeehi waqawmihi ma taAAbudoona
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship
Verse 70قَالُواْ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامٗا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ
Qaloo naAAbudu asnaman fanathallu laha AAakifeena
They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted
Verse 71قَالَ هَلۡ يَسۡمَعُونَكُمۡ إِذۡ تَدۡعُونَ
Qala hal yasmaAAoonakum ith tadAAoona
He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate
Verse 72أَوۡ يَنفَعُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ يَضُرُّونَ
Aw yanfaAAoonakum aw yadurroona
Or do they benefit you, or do they harm
Verse 73قَالُواْ بَلۡ وَجَدۡنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفۡعَلُونَ
Qaloo bal wajadna abaana kathalika yafAAaloona
They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus
Verse 74قَالَ أَفَرَءَيۡتُم مَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ
Qala afaraaytum ma kuntum taAAbudoona
He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping
Verse 75أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلۡأَقۡدَمُونَ
Antum waabaokumu alaqdamoona
You and your ancient forefathers
Verse 76فَإِنَّهُمۡ عَدُوّٞ لِّيٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Fainnahum AAaduwwun lee illa rabba alAAalameena
Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds
Verse 77ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهۡدِينِ
Allathee khalaqanee fahuwa yahdeeni
Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me
Verse 78وَٱلَّذِي هُوَ يُطۡعِمُنِي وَيَسۡقِينِ
Waallathee huwa yutAAimunee wayasqeeni
And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink
Verse 79وَإِذَا مَرِضۡتُ فَهُوَ يَشۡفِينِ
Waitha maridtu fahuwa yashfeeni
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me
Verse 80وَٱلَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحۡيِينِ
Waallathee yumeetunee thumma yuhyeeni
And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life
Verse 81وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَطۡمَعُ أَن يَغۡفِرَ لِي خَطِيٓـَٔتِي يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ
Waallathee atmaAAu an yaghfira lee khateeatee yawma alddeeni
And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense
Verse 82رَبِّ هَبۡ لِي حُكۡمٗا وَأَلۡحِقۡنِي بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
Rabbi hab lee hukman waalhiqnee bialssaliheena
[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous
Verse 83وَٱجۡعَل لِّي لِسَانَ صِدۡقٖ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
WaijAAal lee lisana sidqin fee alakhireena
And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations
Verse 84وَٱجۡعَلۡنِي مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ
WaijAAalnee min warathati jannati alnnaAAeemi
And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure
Verse 85وَٱغۡفِرۡ لِأَبِيٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
Waighfir liabee innahu kana mina alddalleena
And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray
Verse 86وَلَا تُخۡزِنِي يَوۡمَ يُبۡعَثُونَ
Wala tukhzinee yawma yubAAathoona
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected
Verse 87يَوۡمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٞ وَلَا بَنُونَ
Yawma la yanfaAAu malun wala banoona
The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children
Verse 88إِلَّا مَنۡ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلۡبٖ سَلِيمٖ
Illa man ata Allaha biqalbin saleemin
But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart
Verse 89وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ
Waozlifati aljannatu lilmuttaqeena
And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous
Verse 90وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلۡجَحِيمُ لِلۡغَاوِينَ
Waburrizati aljaheemu lilghaweena
And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators
Verse 91وَقِيلَ لَهُمۡ أَيۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡبُدُونَ
Waqeela lahum ayna ma kuntum taAAbudoona
And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship
Verse 92مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلۡ يَنصُرُونَكُمۡ أَوۡ يَنتَصِرُونَ
Min dooni Allahi hal yansuroonakum aw yantasiroona
Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves
Verse 93فَكُبۡكِبُواْ فِيهَا هُمۡ وَٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ
Fakubkiboo feeha hum waalghawoona
So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators
Verse 94وَجُنُودُ إِبۡلِيسَ أَجۡمَعُونَ
Wajunoodu ibleesa ajmaAAoona
And the soldiers of Iblees, all together
Verse 95قَالُواْ وَهُمۡ فِيهَا يَخۡتَصِمُونَ
Qaloo wahum feeha yakhtasimoona
They will say while they dispute therein
Verse 96تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَٰلٖ مُّبِينٍ
TaAllahi in kunna lafee dalalin mubeenin
By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error
Verse 97إِذۡ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Ith nusawweekum birabbi alAAalameena
When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds
Verse 98وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ
Wama adallana illa almujrimoona
And no one misguided us except the criminals
Verse 99فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ
Fama lana min shafiAAeena
So now we have no intercessors
Verse 100وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٖ
Wala sadeeqin hameemin
And not a devoted friend
Verse 101فَلَوۡ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةٗ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Falaw anna lana karratan fanakoona mina almumineena
Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers
Verse 102إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Verse 103وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 104كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ نُوحٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Kaththabat qawmu noohin almursaleena
The people of Noah denied the messengers
Verse 105إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Ith qala lahum akhoohum noohun ala tattaqoona
When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Verse 106إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ
Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Verse 107فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 108وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Verse 109فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 110۞قَالُوٓاْ أَنُؤۡمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلۡأَرۡذَلُونَ
Qaloo anuminu laka waittabaAAaka alarthaloona
They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]
Verse 111قَالَ وَمَا عِلۡمِي بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعۡمَلُونَ
Qala wama AAilmee bima kanoo yaAAmaloona
He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do
Verse 112إِنۡ حِسَابُهُمۡ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّيۖ لَوۡ تَشۡعُرُونَ
In hisabuhum illa AAala rabbee law tashAAuroona
Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive
Verse 113وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Wama ana bitaridi almumineena
And I am not one to drive away the believers
Verse 114إِنۡ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ
In ana illa natheerun mubeenun
I am only a clear warner
Verse 115قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَرۡجُومِينَ
Qaloo lain lam tantahi ya noohu latakoonanna mina almarjoomeena
They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned
Verse 116قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوۡمِي كَذَّبُونِ
Qala rabbi inna qawmee kaththabooni
He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me
Verse 117فَٱفۡتَحۡ بَيۡنِي وَبَيۡنَهُمۡ فَتۡحٗا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِيَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Faiftah baynee wabaynahum fathan wanajjinee waman maAAiya mina almumineena
Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers
Verse 118فَأَنجَيۡنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِي ٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلۡمَشۡحُونِ
Faanjaynahu waman maAAahu fee alfulki almashhooni
So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship
Verse 119ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا بَعۡدُ ٱلۡبَاقِينَ
Thumma aghraqna baAAdu albaqeena
Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones
Verse 120إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Verse 121وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 122كَذَّبَتۡ عَادٌ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Kaththabat AAadun almursaleena
Aad denied the messengers
Verse 123إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Ith qala lahum akhoohum hoodun ala tattaqoona
When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Verse 124إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ
Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Verse 125فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 126وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Verse 127أَتَبۡنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةٗ تَعۡبَثُونَ
Atabnoona bikulli reeAAin ayatan taAAbathoona
Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves
Verse 128وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَخۡلُدُونَ
Watattakhithoona masaniAAa laAAallakum takhludoona
And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally
Verse 129وَإِذَا بَطَشۡتُم بَطَشۡتُمۡ جَبَّارِينَ
Waitha batashtum batashtum jabbareena
And when you strike, you strike as tyrants
Verse 130فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 131وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعۡلَمُونَ
Waittaqoo allathee amaddakum bima taAAlamoona
And fear He who provided you with that which you know
Verse 132أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنۡعَٰمٖ وَبَنِينَ
Amaddakum bianAAamin wabaneena
Provided you with grazing livestock and children
Verse 133وَجَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ
Wajannatin waAAuyoonin
And gardens and springs
Verse 134إِنِّيٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ
Innee akhafu AAalaykum AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day
Verse 135قَالُواْ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡنَآ أَوَعَظۡتَ أَمۡ لَمۡ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلۡوَٰعِظِينَ
Qaloo sawaon AAalayna awaAAathta am lam takun mina alwaAAitheena
They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors
Verse 136إِنۡ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
In hatha illa khuluqu alawwaleena
This is not but the custom of the former peoples
Verse 137وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ
Wama nahnu bimuAAaththabeena
And we are not to be punished
Verse 138فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهۡلَكۡنَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Fakaththaboohu faahlaknahum inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Verse 139وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 140كَذَّبَتۡ ثَمُودُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Kaththabat thamoodu almursaleena
Thamud denied the messengers
Verse 141إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ صَٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Ith qala lahum akhoohum salihun ala tattaqoona
When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Verse 142إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ
Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Verse 143فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 144وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Verse 145أَتُتۡرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ
Atutrakoona fee ma hahuna amineena
Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death]
Verse 146فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٖ
Fee jannatin waAAuyoonin
Within gardens and springs
Verse 147وَزُرُوعٖ وَنَخۡلٖ طَلۡعُهَا هَضِيمٞ
WazurooAAin wanakhlin talAAuha hadeemun
And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit
Verse 148وَتَنۡحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِبَالِ بُيُوتٗا فَٰرِهِينَ
Watanhitoona mina aljibali buyootan fariheena
And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill
Verse 149فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 150وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓاْ أَمۡرَ ٱلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
Wala tuteeAAoo amra almusrifeena
And do not obey the order of the transgressors
Verse 151ٱلَّذِينَ يُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا يُصۡلِحُونَ
Allatheena yufsidoona fee alardi wala yuslihoona
Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend
Verse 152قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِينَ
Qaloo innama anta mina almusahhareena
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic
Verse 153مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا فَأۡتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Ma anta illa basharun mithluna fati biayatin in kunta mina alssadiqeena
You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful
Verse 154قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٞ لَّهَا شِرۡبٞ وَلَكُمۡ شِرۡبُ يَوۡمٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
Qala hathihi naqatun laha shirbun walakum shirbu yawmin maAAloomin
He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day
Verse 155وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٖ فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٖ
Wala tamassooha bisooin fayakhuthakum AAathabu yawmin AAatheemin
And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day
Verse 156فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصۡبَحُواْ نَٰدِمِينَ
FaAAaqarooha faasbahoo nadimeena
But they hamstrung her and so became regretful
Verse 157فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Faakhathahumu alAAathabu inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Verse 158وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 159كَذَّبَتۡ قَوۡمُ لُوطٍ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Kaththabat qawmu lootin almursaleena
The people of Lot denied the messengers
Verse 160إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ أَخُوهُمۡ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Ith qala lahum akhoohum lootun ala tattaqoona
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Verse 161إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ
Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Verse 162فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 163وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Verse 164أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلذُّكۡرَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Atatoona alththukrana mina alAAalameena
Do you approach males among the worlds
Verse 165وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمۡ رَبُّكُم مِّنۡ أَزۡوَٰجِكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ عَادُونَ
Watatharoona ma khalaqa lakum rabbukum min azwajikum bal antum qawmun AAadoona
And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing
Verse 166قَالُواْ لَئِن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡرَجِينَ
Qaloo lain lam tantahi ya lootu latakoonanna mina almukhrajeena
They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted
Verse 167قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَالِينَ
Qala innee liAAamalikum mina alqaleena
He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]
Verse 168رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهۡلِي مِمَّا يَعۡمَلُونَ
Rabbi najjinee waahlee mimma yaAAmaloona
My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do
Verse 169فَنَجَّيۡنَٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥٓ أَجۡمَعِينَ
Fanajjaynahu waahlahu ajmaAAeena
So We saved him and his family, all
Verse 170إِلَّا عَجُوزٗا فِي ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ
Illa AAajoozan fee alghabireena
Except an old woman among those who remained behind
Verse 171ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡأٓخَرِينَ
Thumma dammarna alakhareena
Then We destroyed the others
Verse 172وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَيۡهِم مَّطَرٗاۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِينَ
Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned
Verse 173إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Verse 174وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 175كَذَّبَ أَصۡحَٰبُ لۡـَٔيۡكَةِ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ
Kaththaba ashabu alaykati almursaleena
The companions of the thicket denied the messengers
Verse 176إِذۡ قَالَ لَهُمۡ شُعَيۡبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ
Ith qala lahum shuAAaybun ala tattaqoona
When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah
Verse 177إِنِّي لَكُمۡ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٞ
Innee lakum rasoolun ameenun
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger
Verse 178فَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ
Faittaqoo Allaha waateeAAooni
So fear Allah and obey me
Verse 179وَمَآ أَسۡـَٔلُكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۖ إِنۡ أَجۡرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Wama asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin in ajriya illa AAala rabbi alAAalameena
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds
Verse 180۞أَوۡفُواْ ٱلۡكَيۡلَ وَلَا تَكُونُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡمُخۡسِرِينَ
Awfoo alkayla wala takoonoo mina almukhsireena
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss
Verse 181وَزِنُواْ بِٱلۡقِسۡطَاسِ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِيمِ
Wazinoo bialqistasi almustaqeemi
And weigh with an even balance
Verse 182وَلَا تَبۡخَسُواْ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡيَآءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِينَ
Wala tabkhasoo alnnasa ashyaahum wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption
Verse 183وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلۡجِبِلَّةَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Waittaqoo allathee khalaqakum waaljibillata alawwaleena
And fear He who created you and the former creation
Verse 184قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِينَ
Qaloo innama anta mina almusahhareena
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic
Verse 185وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٞ مِّثۡلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَٰذِبِينَ
Wama anta illa basharun mithluna wain nathunnuka lamina alkathibeena
You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars
Verse 186فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَيۡنَا كِسَفٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ
Faasqit AAalayna kisafan mina alssamai in kunta mina alssadiqeena
So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful
Verse 187قَالَ رَبِّيٓ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ
Qala rabbee aAAlamu bima taAAmaloona
He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do
Verse 188فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ يَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوۡمٍ عَظِيمٍ
Fakaththaboohu faakhathahum AAathabu yawmi alththullati innahu kana AAathaba yawmin AAatheemin
And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day
Verse 189إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَةٗۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِينَ
Inna fee thalika laayatan wama kana aktharuhum mumineena
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers
Verse 190وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Wainna rabbaka lahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 191وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ
Wainnahu latanzeelu rabbi alAAalameena
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds
Verse 192نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلۡأَمِينُ
Nazala bihi alrroohu alameenu
The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down
Verse 193عَلَىٰ قَلۡبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِينَ
AAala qalbika litakoona mina almunthireena
Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners
Verse 194بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيّٖ مُّبِينٖ
Bilisanin AAarabiyyin mubeenin
In a clear Arabic language
Verse 195وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِي زُبُرِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Wainnahu lafee zuburi alawwaleena
And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples
Verse 196أَوَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُمۡ ءَايَةً أَن يَعۡلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَـٰٓؤُاْ بَنِيٓ إِسۡرَـٰٓءِيلَ
Awalam yakun lahum ayatan an yaAAlamahu AAulamao banee israeela
And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel
Verse 197وَلَوۡ نَزَّلۡنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضِ ٱلۡأَعۡجَمِينَ
Walaw nazzalnahu AAala baAAdi alaAAjameena
And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners
Verse 198فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيۡهِم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِۦ مُؤۡمِنِينَ
Faqaraahu AAalayhim ma kanoo bihi mumineena
And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it
Verse 199كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكۡنَٰهُ فِي قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
Kathalika salaknahu fee quloobi almujrimeena
Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals
Verse 200لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُاْ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ
La yuminoona bihi hatta yarawoo alAAathaba alaleema
They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment
Verse 201فَيَأۡتِيَهُم بَغۡتَةٗ وَهُمۡ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ
Fayatiyahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona
And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not
Verse 202فَيَقُولُواْ هَلۡ نَحۡنُ مُنظَرُونَ
Fayaqooloo hal nahnu muntharoona
And they will say, "May we be reprieved
Verse 203أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ
AfabiAAathabina yastaAAjiloona
So for Our punishment are they impatient
Verse 204أَفَرَءَيۡتَ إِن مَّتَّعۡنَٰهُمۡ سِنِينَ
Afaraayta in mattaAAnahum sineena
Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years
Verse 205ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُوعَدُونَ
Thumma jaahum ma kanoo yooAAadoona
And then there came to them that which they were promised
Verse 206مَآ أَغۡنَىٰ عَنۡهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُمَتَّعُونَ
Ma aghna AAanhum ma kanoo yumattaAAoona
They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided
Verse 207وَمَآ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ
Wama ahlakna min qaryatin illa laha munthiroona
And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners
Verse 208ذِكۡرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ
Thikra wama kunna thalimeena
As a reminder; and never have We been unjust
Verse 209وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتۡ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ
Wama tanazzalat bihi alshshayateenu
And the devils have not brought the revelation down
Verse 210وَمَا يَنۢبَغِي لَهُمۡ وَمَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ
Wama yanbaghee lahum wama yastateeAAoona
It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able
Verse 211إِنَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّمۡعِ لَمَعۡزُولُونَ
Innahum AAani alssamAAi lamaAAzooloona
Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed
Verse 212فَلَا تَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُعَذَّبِينَ
Fala tadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara fatakoona mina almuAAaththabeena
So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished
Verse 213وَأَنذِرۡ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلۡأَقۡرَبِينَ
Waanthir AAasheerataka alaqrabeena
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred
Verse 214وَٱخۡفِضۡ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Waikhfid janahaka limani ittabaAAaka mina almumineena
And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers
Verse 215فَإِنۡ عَصَوۡكَ فَقُلۡ إِنِّي بَرِيٓءٞ مِّمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ
Fain AAasawka faqul innee bareeon mimma taAAmaloona
And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing
Verse 216وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱلۡعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Watawakkal AAala alAAazeezi alrraheemi
And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful
Verse 217ٱلَّذِي يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ
Allathee yaraka heena taqoomu
Who sees you when you arise
Verse 218وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
Wataqallubaka fee alssajideena
And your movement among those who prostrate
Verse 219إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Innahu huwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu
Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing
Verse 220هَلۡ أُنَبِّئُكُمۡ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ
Hal onabbiokum AAala man tanazzalu alshshayateenu
Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend
Verse 221تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٖ
Tanazzalu AAala kulli affakin atheemin
They descend upon every sinful liar
Verse 222يُلۡقُونَ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمۡ كَٰذِبُونَ
Yulqoona alssamAAa waaktharuhum kathiboona
They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars
Verse 223وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡغَاوُۥنَ
WaalshshuAAarao yattabiAAuhumu alghawoona
And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them
Verse 224أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّهُمۡ فِي كُلِّ وَادٖ يَهِيمُونَ
Alam tara annahum fee kulli wadin yaheemoona
Do you not see that in every valley they roam
Verse 225وَأَنَّهُمۡ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفۡعَلُونَ
Waannahum yaqooloona ma la yafAAaloona
And that they say what they do not do
Verse 226إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَعَمِلُواْ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُواْ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرٗا وَٱنتَصَرُواْ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا ظُلِمُواْۗ وَسَيَعۡلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓاْ أَيَّ مُنقَلَبٖ يَنقَلِبُونَ
Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati wathakaroo Allaha katheeran waintasaroo min baAAdi ma thulimoo wasayaAAlamu allatheena thalamoo ayya munqalabin yanqaliboona
Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned
Verse 227
